Claire Byrne marries Gerry Scollan in low-key Dublin ceremony

Broadcaster Claire Byrne has married her partner of five years Gerry Scollan.

The happy couple have two children together - two-year-old Jane and big brother Patrick, aged three.

They were married today in Dublin in a surprise ceremony, with just a clutch of close friends and family in on the secret.

Byrne had previously said she had no time for a lavish wedding and that whenever she and Gerry wed, it would be low key in front of a few friends and family.
