You know how the children's show Pokémon was always a happy-go-lucky magical adventure, despite essentially being about enslaving animals to take part in fights for sport?

Well, the new Japanese version aired and is … a little bit different, with the adorable little magical creatures screaming in agony as they brutally murder each other.

Jaysus. Might actually want to watch this version.
