Pope discusses depression and domestic violence at Spain youth rally
Pope Leo XIV has sought to encourage Spain’s young people to persevere in their faith, as he presided over an evening rally that was notable for its frank discussion of depression, domestic violence and “toxic” family relationships.
The US-born Pope received a raucous welcome at the Olympic stadium in Barcelona, the second stop of his week-long visit to Spain that has drawn huge crowds, despite the country’s strong secular bent.
