EU regulators investigate Snapchat ‘for failing to protect children’
European Union regulators are investigating Snapchat over concerns the platform is not doing enough to protect children and exposing them to risks such as vulnerability to sex offenders and recruitment by criminals.
The 27-nation EU’s executive commission said on Thursday it was opening a formal investigation into Snapchat under the bloc’s sweeping rule book known as the Digital Services Act (DSA) that is designed to protect internet users.
