French ex-PM Lionel Jospin, architect of the 35-hour week, dies aged 88
Former prime minister Lionel Jospin, who gave France the 35-hour working week and then withdrew from politics, has died aged 88.
His death was confirmed by the current prime minister, Sebastien Lecornu, after the national news agency, Agence France-Presse, reported that Mr Jospin died on Sunday, citing his family.
