Watch: Jamaicans recount Hurricane Melissa's fury: 'It was terrible'

A Category 5 storm with sustained winds of 185 mph (298 kph) when it barreled into Jamaica, Melissa had been downgraded to a still dangerous Category 3 when it hit Cuba with sustained winds of 120 mph, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said. Alvin English says he has lived through three dangerous hurricanes in Jamaica, but Hurricane Melissa was different. "This one was worst. It was terrible," English said of the Category 5 storm that struck the Caribbean island nation. Dahlia Bailey says the recovery may be rough and that "we still have to pick up the pieces and move on."
