North Korean leader Kim meets China’s Xi as part of diplomatic trip

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met Chinese leader Xi Jinping on the sidelines of festivities commemorating the end of the Second World War, state media reported on Thursday.

Mr Kim attended a Chinese military parade in Beijing on Wednesday, alongside other foreign leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin. Mr Kim is making a rare trip outside North Korea.
