Japan’s Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba has said he held telephone talks with US President Donald Trump and agreed to hold “productive” discussions at an upcoming tariff talks between the two sides.

“Investment, not tariffs,” Mr Ishiba told reporters after the talks.
