South Korea in uphill battle to contain wildfires as death toll rises

Multiple wildfires raging across South Korea’s southern regions for days have killed 27 people and destroyed more than 300 structures, officials said.

Thousands of personnel and dozens of helicopters were mobilised again on Thursday to battle the country’s worst-ever blazes.
