Trump ‘sent letter’ to Iran’s supreme leader over advancing nuclear programme

US President Donald Trump said he has sent a letter to Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, a move which was not immediately confirmed by the supreme leader.

Mr Trump made the comments in an interview aired on Friday by Fox Business News, saying he wrote to Iranian leaders.
