One killed and four wounded in stabbing attack in Israeli city of Haifa

A 70-year-old has been killed and four other people were wounded in a stabbing attack in the northern Israeli city of Haifa.

Israeli authorities said the assailant was killed in the incident on Monday.

The attack took place in a bus station, police said.

It was not immediately clear who killed the attacker, whose identity was not known.

Eli Bin, head of emergency rescue service Magen David Adom, had earlier told Israeli media that four people were wounded in the stabbing attack and another was critically wounded by gunfire.
