Greece hit by general strike amid protest over high cost of living

Thousands of workers have marched through the Greek capital Athens as part of a 24-hour general strike called by unions in protest over the rising cost of living.

The move is also timed to coincide with the Greek government submitting the 2025 budget to parliament.
