Hezbollah accept US ceasefire proposal as Israeli airstrike kills five in Lebanon

It comes as an Israeli airstrike killed five people in central Beirut on Monday

Lebanon and Hezbollah have agreed to a US ceasefire proposal and made some comments on the content, a top Lebanese official told Reuters on Monday, describing the effort as the most serious yet to end the fighting.

A diplomat familiar with the talks cautioned that details still needed to be ironed out and these could still hold up a final agreement.
