The Solomon Islands’ new Prime minister is in Beijing for a visit as China and the strategic Pacific archipelago strengthen their ties.

Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele met his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang and was holding more meetings on Friday before his departure Monday.
