Liverpool to fall silent to mark 35 years since Hillsborough disaster

On Monday at 3.06pm a minute’s silence will be observed in Exchange Flags, behind Liverpool Town Hall, and by players and staff at the football club

Liverpool is to fall silent 35 years on from the Hillsborough disaster.

Ninety-seven men, women and children died in the tragedy at the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest on April 15 1989.
