Scientists have discovered fossil remains of a “nightmarish” new sea lizard species with dagger-like teeth that dominated the oceans 66 million years ago.

Khinjaria acuta would have lived alongside dinosaurs, co-existing with behemoths such as Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops.
