Ceilings collapse at shopping centres as earthquake hits southern Philippines

A powerful undersea earthquake has rattled the southern Philippines, causing ceilings in shopping centres to plunge to the ground.

There were no immediate reports of injuries, and no tsunami warning was in effect.
