‘Ceasefire deal agreed’ to end violence in Gaza

A ceasefire deal has been struck to end the violence in Gaza that has seen Israeli air strikes kill dozens of Palestinians, Egyptian officials have suggested.

An intelligence official said Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad militant group had agreed to the truce.
