Lawyers for British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell say she should face no more than four to five years in prison for her sex trafficking conviction and role in Jeffrey Epstein’s decade-long sex abuse of teenage girls.

In a Manhattan federal court submission on Wednesday, Maxwell’s legal representatives told a judge she deserves leniency, calling it “a travesty of justice for her to face a sentence that would have been appropriate for Epstein”.
