Prosecutor: Police ‘chose to do nothing’ as officer kneeled on Floyd’s neck

Three former Minneapolis police officers charged with violating George Floyd’s civil rights “chose to do nothing” as Officer Derek Chauvin squeezed the life out of Mr Floyd, a prosecutor said in her closing argument Tuesday.

Defence attorneys countered that the officers were too inexperienced, weren’t trained properly and did not wilfully violate Mr Floyd’s rights.
