People aged 75 and over, the immunosuppressed and those living in care homes in the UK will be offered a Covid-19 booster vaccine this spring, the UK health secretary Sajid Javid has announced.

He said the top-up jab will help those at the highest risk of serious illness maintain a high level of protection against the virus.
