At least 112 killed after Typhoon Rai hits Philippines

The death toll in the strongest typhoon to hit the Philippines this year has surpassed 100 after an island province reported at least 63 fatalities.
Governor Arthur Yap, of Bohol province, reported the number of deaths in more than half of the towns that managed to contact him in the wake of the devastation wrought by Typhoon Rai.
