Duke of York never sexually assaulted accuser, lawyer in US says

Lawyers for the Duke of York have asked a New York judge to throw out a lawsuit accusing Andrew of sexually abusing an American when she was 17, saying the prince “never sexually abused or assaulted” the plaintiff.

In papers filed in Manhattan federal court, an attorney for the duke said the plaintiff, Virginia Giuffre, may well be a victim of sexual abuse at the hands of financier Jeffrey Epstein.
