MPs in the UK struck a defiant tone as they held constituency surgeries as normal less than 24 hours after the death of David Amess.

Mr Amess was killed while meeting constituents in Leigh-on-Sea on Friday, five and a half years after Labour MP Jo Cox was killed by a far-right extremist.
