Fauci says US going in ‘wrong direction’ on coronavirus

The United States is in an “unnecessary predicament” of soaring Covid-19 cases fuelled by unvaccinated Americans and the Delta variant, the nation’s top infectious diseases expert said.

Dr Anthony Fauci said: “We’re going in the wrong direction”, and described himself as “very frustrated” over the situation.
