The Met Office has issued an amber warning for storms covering London and some of the Home Counties where homes and businesses are at risk of flooding, lasting until 7pm on Sunday.

Torrential rain has flooded homes, roads and Tube stations in London after thunderstorms struck the south of England on Sunday.

Locals on a street in Woodford have been using buckets, brooms and wooden boards to create makeshift flood defences and scoop water away from their homes, while water gushing from an Underground station was caught on video.
