Rare US gold coin dating from 1787 sold for $9m dollars

A rare gold coin made by a noted New York craftsman in 1787 has sold at auction in Dallas for $9.36m (€7.68m). 

Heritage Auctions offered the New York-style Brasher Doubloon on Thursday evening as part of an auction of US coins.
