UK calls for EU concessions ahead of Johnson-von der Leyen meeting

The European Union will have to give ground if there is to be any hope of a breakthrough in crunch talks between the British Prime Minister and Brussels’ top official, Michael Gove has said.

The UK's senior Cabinet minister said Wednesday’s meeting between Boris Johnson and European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen offers the chance to “thrash out” the issues which still divide the two sides.
