BBC appoints former senior judge to head up Diana Panorama interview investigation

The BBC has appointed John Dyson, former Master of the Rolls and head of civil justice, to lead an independent investigation into Martin Bashir’s Panorama interview with Diana, Princess of Wales.

The investigation, which will begin straight away, will seek to discover what steps the BBC and Mr Bashir took to land the interview with Diana on November 20 1995.
