Harlem Globetrotter given apology after banana thrown at him on TV news show

A black member of the Harlem Globetrotters has said two white presenters threw fruit including a banana at him while he was performing basketball tricks on a TV news show.

Maxwell Pearce spoke about the incident on social media after Fox News-affiliated WBRC-TV aired a show that featured an interview with him about the January incident on Good Day Alabama. During that newscast, WBRC news director Shannon Isbell offered an on-air apology to Pearce.
