An unmanned spacecraft India launched last month has begun orbiting the Moon before it lands on the far side to search for water.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said it has manoeuvred Chandrayaan – the Sanskrit word for “moon craft” – into lunar orbit.
