A surfer has been airlifted to hospital after being attacked by a shark off the coast of New Zealand.

A surfer has been airlifted to hospital after being attacked by a shark off the coast of New Zealand.

The man was surfing at Baylys Beach about 60 miles north west of Auckland when the attack happened.
