Hong Kong bans young pro-democracy hopeful from election
The Hong Kong government has barred a young pro-democracy activist from an upcoming election over her party’s political platform that it said violates electoral laws.
An official statement said the nomination of a female candidate, who was not identified, was ruled invalid.
