Catalans vote in regional parliament elections

Voters in Catalonia are facing a momentous choice as they go to the polls in elections for their regional parliament.

The choice is to support political parties determined to keep up the pressure to turn their region into Europe’s newest country, or opt for those that want it to stay as part of Spain.
