Democratic senator Al Franken 'so sorry' he has made women 'feel badly'

Democratic US senator Al Franken has apologised in the wake of four women alleging that he had touched them inappropriately.

His message, as the US celebrated Thanksgiving, ended with a promise to regain constituents' trust and suggested no resignation was being contemplated.
