Passengers are being escorted off the 'Oblivion' roller coaster at Alton Towers in the UK.

The ride at the theme park in Staffordshire stopped at its highest point which is 55 metres.

It opened in 1998 and has a maximum speed of 109 kilometres an hour.

According to Sky, those on the rollercoaster are said to be safe.
