Several states seeking to block President Donald Trump's revised travel ban moved forward with court action on Monday just days before it is due to come into force.

Washington state Attorney General Bob Ferguson, joined in his lawsuit by Democratic California, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Oregon, asked for a hearing with a federal judge in Seattle before Thursday when the administration plans to implement the ban on new visas for people from six predominantly Muslim nations.
