Research: London's housing crisis could be alleviated by releasing disused council-owned garages

Thousands of new homes could be created across London if the space occupied by disused council-owned garages was freed up, research suggests.

Around two-fifths (41%) of lock-up garages owned by councils across the capital are empty or in disrepair, according to the findings from property crowdfunding website Property Partner.
