Missing American woman found chained 'like a dog' in metal container

A woman in South Carolina who had been missing since August has been found chained up in a padlocked metal container.

30-year-old Kala Brown was found by police who heard banging when they arrived at the property.

Authorities have said the woman was locked up for two months with a metal chain wrapped around her neck.

The authorities were first alerted to the premises by reports of bear traps on the property.

Its owner, a registered sex offender, has been arrested.

A number of weapons and ammunition have also been recovered from the property.

Ms Brown's boyfriend, who disappeared at the same time, has still not been found.
