Value of pound surges following news that UK Parliament must approve Brexit

Update11.30am: On the back of the High Court ruling that the British Parliament should trigger the process of leaving the EU, the value of the pound has surged.

Sterling rose more 1% against the dollar as traders reacted to the news.
