New wave of abortion demonstrations by women in Poland
Polish women have gathered across the country to protest over a proposal for a new abortion law which would ban the procedure in cases where foetuses are badly damaged or have no chance of survival after birth.
The predominantly Catholic country already has one of the most restrictive abortion laws in Europe, with abortion only allowed in cases of rape, when the foetus is irreparably damaged or when the woman's life or health is in peril.
