31 killed, 65 injured in Baghdad funeral bomb attack

Thirty-one people have been killed and 65 others injured in a suicide bombing at a funeral in northern Baghdad, Iraqi police and hospital officials said.

The attack happened at around lunchtime on Saturday, the officials said.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast, which comes as Iraqi security forces are preparing for an operation to retake the militant-held northern city of Mosul from the Islamic State group.
