Farage dismisses Trump remarks on women as 'alpha male boasting'

Melania Trump said her husband's words were "unacceptable and offensive" to her - but that they did not represent the man she knew.

Interim Ukip leader Nigel Farage has waded into the crisis engulfing Donald Trump's US presidential bid, insisting the Republican candidate's obscene remarks about groping women amounted to "alpha male boasting".

Speaking in St Louis, Missouri, where he is attending this weekend's televised presidential debate as a Trump supporter, Mr Farage said the comments were "ugly", but stated that women also make remarks they would not want to see reported.
