Bid to trace woman as probe launched into dog dirt posted through letter box

UK police have issued a photograph of a woman they want to trace after dog dirt was posted through a letter box.

The incident happened in Gosforth High Street, Newcastle, at around 10pm on August 3.

Officers want to trace a woman in a pink top who was walking a light-coloured dog.

She was seen in the area on CCTV and may have information that could help, Northumbria Police said.

A spokesman added: "Inquiries are ongoing into the incident and officers are releasing a CCTV image of a woman who they want to identify and speak to about it."
