Couple charged with child neglect after abandoning toddler to play Pokemon Go

A couple in Arizona have been charged with child neglect after abandoning their toddler to play Pokemon Go.

Brent (27) and Brianne Daley (25) were playing Pokémon Go when their two-year-old boy was found screaming and crying after being left alone in 30-degree heat without water.

The boy was found by a neighbour who then called 911.

According to police report the child was “screaming and crying and attempting to get into the residence.”

The report also said the boy was barefoot, red-faced and filthy.

After the parents were called and informed that the child had been abandoned Brent allegedly replied ‘Whatever” before hanging up.

Police say their actions were "beyond comprehension".
