Around 85 people remain in hospital after the deadly lorry attack in Nice, and 18 of them - including one child - are in a life-threatening condition, the French health minister said.

Marisol Touraine urged any survivors to seek counselling offered by the government after the Bastille Day attack on Thursday night which killed 84 people.

Speaking to reporters in Nice on Sunday, Ms Touraine said while scores of people who were taken to hospital have been released, some may need further medical treatment as their injuries heal.

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack by a local Nice lorry driver, who was killed by police.
