Leave campaigner Andrea Leadsom has put her name in the hat for the Conservative leadership.

The energy minister joins Theresa May, Michael Gove, Stephen Crabb and Dr Liam Fox in the battle for the top job.

In her speech for candidancy Ms Leadsom declared the Brexit decision to be “a great moment in history,” and one that should be respected.

“The UK will leave the EU and freedom of movement will end,” Ms Leadsom pledged in her bid for UK Prime Minister.
