New York's former mayor Rudy Giuliani plans to vote for Donald Trump

Donald Trump's bid for the White House has received a boost after New York's former mayor, Rudy Giuliani, said he is planning to vote for him in the city's Republican primary.

Mr Giuliani's spokesman, Jake Menges, said the former mayor considers Mr Trump "a friend", and always believed he would back him over his rival Ted Cruz.
