Barack Obama: We will do whatever is necessary to support our friend and ally Belgium

US President Barack Obama has said the terror attacks in Brussels are a reminder of the need to unite "in fighting against the scourge of terrorism".

Mr Obama, speaking while on a historic visit to Cuba, sent a message of support to America's "friend and ally" Belgium.
