Thousands of refugees are still fleeing their homes, amid further violence, as a deal between the EU and Turkey to house the migrants nears a conclusion.

Reporter Shona Murray is in the town of Kilit in Turkey, around 90 kilometres from Aleppo.

She has said the refugees are determined to get to Europe, even if they have been advised against it: “Of the refugees I have spoken to all of them wish to still get to Europe despite any of the warnings given to them by the European Community, by European countries and by Brussels.

“They are well aware that in Brussels a deal has been tentatively made to stop refugees from going to Europe, but as far as they are concerned their only hope for survival is getting to Europe and they will do it anyway.”
